Goodsheds is a groundbreaking mixed-use development in Barry that has redefined the concept of urban regeneration in Wales. Set in and around refurbished shipping containers and a historic railway goods shed, the site blends independent retail, innovative food offerings, co-working spaces, lifestyle services, and community events. With such a diverse and evolving ecosystem, the Goodsheds team needed a digital presence, that incorporated their existing brand by Girl & Boy, that could match the vibrancy and agility of the physical space—while providing visitors with clear, current, and compelling information.

Physical architecture translated to digital

Goodsheds is home to dozens of traders, food vendors, and event spaces, all with frequently changing offerings. The site needed to organize a large volume of information in an intuitive way for both users of the website whilst appealing to a broad demographic, from local families and foodies to tourists and remote workers, ensuring that the urban identity resonated throughout the website.

The structure emphasizes three key pillars: Explore (Traders), Eat (Food & Drink), and Experience (Events & Community)

Goodsheds is an extension of the community-driven, ever-evolving experience the venue represents. It balances functionality with flair, helping both first-time visitors and returning locals navigate, discover, and get the latest with what’s happening at Barry’s most up to the minute destination.
