Ten Degrees is a modern, design-led venue in the heart of Caerphilly, offering a sophisticated menu, expertly crafted cocktails, and a social atmosphere unlike anything else in the area. As a new concept bar and kitchen, Ten Degrees needed a brand from the ground up—something that felt confident, chic and premium, while staying accessible to a local audience. We were brought in to develop a complete identity system—from naming consultation through to branding, signage, menus, internal graphics and website, all crafted to reflect the venue’s sleek aesthetic and unique dining experience.

Strong foundations, strong brand

New to Caerphilly’s dining scene, Ten Degrees required a brand identity that matched its refined à la carte menu and vibrant cocktail offering. Located in the historic town of Caerphilly—home to the world-renowned castle and its famously leaning tower—we set out to create a brand that subtly acknowledged its setting while remaining minimal, modern, and distinctive. The name Ten Degrees draws directly from the lean of the castle’s tower, which tilts at exactly ten degrees—a fitting metaphor for a brand built on both heritage and strength. While many local identities lean heavily into literal representations of the tower, we chose a more abstract, design-led route. The result is a refined, versatile mark that nods to the location without relying on cliché. Its subtle geometry and thoughtful execution allow it to adapt seamlessly across signage, menus, packaging, and digital platforms—bringing a confident and contemporary presence to the heart of Caerphilly.

From brand to bold

The new Ten Degrees brand was applied to multiple keypoints throughout the venue—from the striking main illuminated sign on the façade to the full suite of interior branding—including copper-effect signage and large-scale architectural finishes—we delivered a cohesive, design-led experience throughout.

A large venue, with various areas, we designed a variety of graphics with their own identity to differentiate various areas of the venue

Lighting up the town

The main sign greeting guests at the venue is crafted from brilliant white built-up acrylic, offering a striking contrast against the charcoal exterior by day, and truly coming to life after dark. Internally illuminated with energy-efficient LEDs, fabricated and fitted by signage company Sauce, the solid acrylic sign emits a soft, even glow without harsh glare—creating a sleek, polished look that feels both modern and refined.

From logo and menus to signage and online presence, every of the Ten Degrees brand was designed to deliver a cohesive, elevated experience at every touchpoint.
