Case Study
Macho Mango is a microbrewery with serious flavor—and zero interest in subtlety. Inspired by the over-the-top world of 1980s wrestling and, more specifically, the legendary Macho Man Randy Savage, the brand is all about boldness, attitude, and fun. The brewery’s flagship product—its punchy mango-infused pale ale—demanded a brand that could match its intensity and bring maximum shelf impact. Tasked with crafting a vibrant, identity and packaging that would not only grab attention in the competitive craft beer market, but also turn casual drinkers into devoted fans.
Over saturated for a saturated market
The concept is simple if Macho Man Randy Savage had a can of craft ale, what would it look like? The result: a brand bursting with explosive color, bravado, and a wink of absurdity. Each can is designed inspired by the flamboyant outfits of the classic wrestling icon. With full on technicolor electric oranges, neon yellows, and saturated pinks the artwork screams from the shelves, helping Macho Mango own its lane.
The brand, is punchy, impactful and standout, it embodies the fun element of the name, with a slight ‘juicy‘ feel to it, and the ‘Macho‘ element conveyed with a simple iconic element based on the iconic cowboy hat — nothing says Macho more!
