Case Study
Rosita’s is a new and vibrant venue in the heart of Caerphilly, offering a curated experience of lunch, dinner, drinks, and cocktails in a stylish, welcoming setting. The venue’s interior design fuses modern finishes with classic influences—rich textures, warm lighting, and elegant flourishes—creating a space that feels both contemporary and nostalgic. A set of a cohesive set of on-brand, functional and visually distinctive menus and print materials was needed that would reflect Rosita’s unique atmosphere. These included lunch, dinner, drinks, and cocktail menus, as well as on-table QR code instruction cards to support digital ordering and browsing.

Each menu was designed with clear hierarchy, generous spacing, and strong typographic structure, making them easy to navigate whether viewed in print or digitally. A refined serif paired with a modern sans-serif for contrast—reflecting the venue’s blend of tradition and modernity.Structured grids guide the diner with bold section dividers and subtle decorative accents, giving each menu a distinct rhythm while maintaining consistency across the suite.

A website with a big appetite
The design and development of a dynamic, visually rich website to act as a central hub for both regulars and new visitors, making it easy to explore the venue, view up-to-date menus, and encourage bookings. To capture the character of Rosita’s—stylish, welcoming, and full of life atmosphere—we used professional food and venue photography as the focal point of the aesthetic. The images captured showcase dishes in bold, appetising layouts highlight the interior and exterior of the venue, including views of Caerphilly Castle bring the brand’s energy to life through candid, lifestyle-style shots of customers, events, and cocktails. The result is a visually engaging website that gives visitors a true feel for what it’s like to experience Rosita’s—morning, noon or night.
A menu fit for print and digital
A common approach in the restaurant industry is to upload often poorly designed PDFs—this really does not cut it from a user point of view, or an administrative one. PDFs are time-consuming to create, aren’t mobile-optimised, and provide a poor user experience. We needed a better way to deliver menus that was both flexible and fast. Built in to the Rosita’s website is a fully integrated menu system into the CMS (content management system). This allows the Rosita’s team to easily add, edit, or remove dishes, categorise menus by menu type (Breakfast, Mains, Pasta etc…) feature limited-time or seasonal specials, and display menus in a mobile-friendly, scrollable format for an improved user experience. This solution reduces admin time, improves the site’s accessibility and SEO potential, and ensures the menus are always current—no file re-uploads or graphic updates required.
Th Rosita’s website brings a bold, energetic venue to life online while ensuring the back-end is just as slick as the front. The new site sets Rosita’s up with a flexible, modern platform that grows with the brand and supports its continued success as one of Caerphilly’s go-to destinations.
